On May 3rd, 2022, IBM announced the beginning of subscription availability for IBM i, allowing clients to pay for what they need on an annual basis. Since then, many IBM i Licensed Program Products are also now available as a subscription. On Tuesday, August 29th, join IBM and COMMON to hear the latest on IBM i Subscription. Steve Sibley, Vice President, IBM Power Product Management, Steve Will, DE, CTO, and Chief Architect of IBM i, and the IBM i Product Management team of Alison Butterill and Linda Hirsch will take the community through recent updates for subscription and what they mean for clients and users.

Steve has worked on the IBM i operating system and its predecessors since the initial development of the AS/400. Since 2007, he has been the IBM i Chief Architect, responsible for the strategy of the operating system and the plan for future releases.

Alison Butterill

WW IBM i Offering Manager

Alison Butterill is the offering manager for IBM i. She owns the responsibility for the IBM i business, including defining and guiding future directions and strategies. She works with the IBM i sales, marketing, and development teams as well as clients and partners to ensure that the IBM i operating system and associated products reflect their requirements. Alison has worked in the mid-range area for more than 30 years and has held a wide variety of positions at IBM, primarily with midrange servers and software. She speaks at a wide variety of events, including industry and technical conferences around the world.

Linda Hirsch
