As an award-winning speaker on security topics, Robin has been interviewed and quoted by industry magazines and has published numerous trade articles. Robin’s extensive Power Server experience has resulted in more than 20 IBM certifications and the highly sought after designation of ISACA-certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and PCI-Professional (PCI-P). He is also co-author of IBM’s Redbook publication on IBM i Data Encryption.

Multi-industry IT professional with experience as a developer, systems administrator and IT Director. Skilled in security and collaborative solutions with a focus on IBM i (AS/400 or iSeries). 

Robert Andrews is the Team Lead for the IBM i Security and Authentication Lab Services Power Systems Delivery Practice in Rochester, MN.  He is an Executive Security Consultant and a certified Thought Leader in IBM for security.  Besides security, Robert is an expert in Db2, journaling, and DDM/DRDA.  In addition to his technical work at IBM, Robert has been strongly involved in Emergency Management and Communications for over a decade at all levels from local to federal.  Robert has published seven books and holds degrees in mathematics, computer science, education, and management.

Amy Williams is a Senior Security Services Consultant who joined HelpSystems in 2015. She holds CISSP, CISA, and PCI-P certifications. Amy has worked on the IBM i platform since 1994 and her experience includes application testing, system installation, system administration, and architecture. She has worked in the warehousing distribution, travel, and gaming industries.

Amyhasperformedsuccessfulroleswapsandcompletedasuccessfulobjectlevelremediationof5 disparate applications on the same IBM i LPAR. She has been responsible for consolidating over 60 LPARs to less than 30 while keeping the business moving forward. She has implemented exit point security when working towards a PCI ROCfiling.

Since joining HelpSystems, Amy has worked with clients on system migrations and ensuring their application architecture was maintained. She has remediated all of the special authorities from users accommodating specific operational and security needs. Amy has implemented Authority Broker for a multi-system implementation, and has completed three specific remediations to remove *ALLOBJ authority.

Amy served in the Air National Guard for 10 years in the communications flight (IT).

I have over 20 years of software engineering experience in operating systems development. My career has focused on file serving technologies in both Unix and Windows environments. I'm familiar with simple virtualization environments, networking, and effective use of TCP/IP within applications.

I have also had exposure to several security concepts including Kerberos, use and generation of password substitution hashes, and the basics of utilizing encryption in network communication.

I have experience in working under both the waterfall and Lean/Agile development models as project lead of multi-cultural teams, and I regularly work with developers outside of the United States to reach project goals.

Thom is the lead software developer for Digital Certificate Manager (DCM) and provides cryptography related enhancements to IBM i. He has been working on IBM i and earlier named platforms since 1989 on various projects such as Integrated Windows, Linux, and VMware Servers, Integrated File Server, IBM i Installation, and most recently on the IBM i Security team. Thom is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) focused on providing system availability,

Scott Forstie is a Senior Technical Staff Member within IBM i development and spends most of his time working as the Db2 for i Business Architect. He has worked on IBM operating system development since joining IBM in 1989.

Scott is a frequently published author, speaker at industry events around the globe and can be found @Forstie_IBMi and forstie@us.ibm.com. Scott is an avid runner and enjoys cooking.
